A single Jack Snipe today from Soil Hill (DB) and also 2 were flushed on Erringden Moor (above Broadhead Clough, Cragg Vale) this afternoon from PG.

8 small waders together were also reported from Cromwell Bottom lagoon at 11:15 (HF) this morning. Wonder if anyone else got to grips with them for firm identification though they were not thought to be Snipe ? From the description, possibly Dunlin ?? Though records of winter Dunlin are very scarce for Calderdale waders including Ringed Plover yesterday at Lighthazzles (PG) and Curlew and Oystercatchers (BS) have started appearing in and around our area from last Sunday !
