Upland walk

An afternoon upland walk in the north of our recording area was very productive - I almost didn't feel like I was in Calderdale! The highlights were

- red kite, briefly sparring with a common buzzard, then slowly heading north
- barn owl

- 3 kestrel 

- 1 chipping snipe

- 2 oystercatcher

- 8+ curlew

- 14 lapwing

- 3 meadow pipit

- 1 siskin
