Withens Clough Sand martins
Saturday 5th September around 5pm numerous Sand martins flying back and forth along the hillside path that runs eastwards from the southern end of the dam. Likely somewhere between 50 and a 100 seen. Not seen any in that area before so assume they're migrating ?
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,

That's a good count Nigel. They are well on the move. We have very few breeding Sand Martins in Calderdale unfortunately.
