2 ring necked parakeets were a surprise over Jumble Hole this morning. First I've seen outside of London.
Later at Blake Dean:
- 45 swallows
- 2 grey heron
- 22 meadow pipits
- 4 kestrels, including one that caught a meadow pipit
- 5 grey partridge

We've not had many reports of RNP this year Matt. I bet that was a surprise - heard them before you saw them!!!! ??
Noisy buggers aren't they? That's what got me onto them.
Great spot with the parakeet, nice one
It is a long shot, but the day before, I had two high over Milnrow (only my second ever here), in retrospect, heading towards Calderdale.
I heard them again late afternoon today.
I saw 4 in Sowerby Bridge by the canal a while back.
