A few Red Grouse about showing on the moor
This morning it was pretty dead in that northerly wind although a few Swallows were coming across the water and heading >E towards the wind farm - which now looks to be being demolished to make way for 'the big ones' !
2 Wheatears
2 Kestrels
12 Meadow Pipits >W
Hunter Hill watchpoint today - not a lot doing other than

Nice one with the Red Kite Dave
40% of the small turbines at Ogden have been out of action for the last 18 months or more Dave so maybe the big 'uns will make up for the electricity lost by them not being repaired.
I'm not sure if turbines are a good thing or not.
I'm tending to think not good for our birds.

Kestrel found with broken neck under one of turbines up on soil hill the other day
