Wheatley Valley

On the former landfill site first thing searching for Willow Warbler which would make it 99 for the year so far in Calderdale.  Success, with 2 singing and showing well near the Brackenbed end of the site.

1 Stock Dove
c35 Woodpigeons
Several Song Thrush in full song and in one instance sounding exactly like a Nuthatch!
1 Grey Heron flyover >S
11 Meadow Pipits >N was unusual for this site though it should be coming up to peak movement for this species in the next week or two.
