Luddenden Dean

Late morning/early afternoon around the dean - very pleasant out of the wind.
1 Green Woodpecker singing
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker
1 Kestrel
1 pair of Little Owls + another single bird higher up the dean
8 Stock Dove
Meadow Pipits moving through in small numbers along with a few Pied Wagtails
2 Sparrowhawks
1 Kestrel
c60 Fieldfare
20+ Starlings

Castle Carr Road
Another pair of Little Owls
Curlews and Lapwings
2 Grey Wagtail - flyovers
No Wheatears !
c40 unidentified geese very high >NW over Midgley Moor at 13.15 - don't think they were Canadas and they were just too far away for I D.

We went up to Raggalds Flood for Brians Wheatears that turned up across lunchtime but they were gone when we got there!!!
