Private Wood
I'm currently spending a couple of days each week working on a private site near Eastwood Todmorden, the other week we had our first singing Blackcap but today we had our first singing Willow warbler.A bigger surprise though was to see a Treecreeper scaling the side of the house with nesting material before disappearing into the eaves to emerge without said material moments later and return with yet more material. Nice one with the Treecreeper Andy - not heard of them nesting other than in trees before. In winter they do like stone walls covered in moss for foraging like the ones at Luddenden Dean when we were there earlier this year looking for the LTT's. That site sounds a safe place to be!

Hmmmm - a new species there Andy, Housecreeper (Helix domesticus) by the sound of it.
Thanks all for your comments re the blog and project, really is enjoyable work if hard graft at times. As for the treecreeper I'm going to try and get some photos over next few weeks. If it is a new species Jeff it would have to be Helix Domesticus Huytinus :-)
