Mytholmroyd

Chiffchaff calling in terrace garden at the Hatchery, Hall Bank Lane today.

Chaffinch not yet started flinging itself at the cottage windows up the lane yet - but there's time! The lady at the house was most concerned last year - and it went on for weeks.

Sounds like the Chaffinch is responding to its reflection, can she do anything to reduce reflection?

We have one that does the same at the garage window every year, just started now and goes on about 2 week always early morning. Never seems to bother it.

I'll discuss it with her if it happens again.

Unlike Brian's this one went on almost all day, from first light.

On another topic - two lovely hedgehogs squashed in Scout Road Tuesday/Friday. They were big adults. Drivers would swerve to avoid a brick in the road so why have they to run over these creatures! So sad.
