Thrushes
The other noticable thing about yesterday in the Dean was the number of Blackbirds or rather the complete lack of any other thrushes despite the high number of Blackbirds. Not a single Mistle, Song, Fieldfare or Redwing has anyone else noticed this or is it just in the Dean?
Redwings and Fieldfares were about the week before as they were coming up the valley towards dusk to roost in Caste Carr. Only c15 Fieldfare and 4 Redwings found in Crimsworth Dean this afternoon.
I had 2 song thrush today ,one singing ,3 mistle thrush,Redwing and Fieldfare are becoming restless and there does seem to have been an influx of blackbirds in and around Northowram
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
