Well done evryone - hope we get some residents soon!
A really fun if at times challenging day, it is very rewarding knowing you've done something to hopefully help our local birds. Can highly recommend it to all and there is lots more opportunities to get involved especially as we make more and more contacts with really helpful and supportive landowners. With the cuts facing the CSS at local government level the need for more hands on work is only likely to increase.
Hopefully we will be putting another set up next weeknd so please get in touch if you want to help, this work is not just for CBCG members:)
Very well done to all those involved. Some of us will remember the site in the lower Calder valley in the 70's. It was superb not only seeing them very regularly but the sounds coming from the nest were haunting. They are sadly missed.
Bruce can you let someone have the location if there is a chance of putting a box up in the area?
