Northern Long Tailed Tits
Our friends were able to get some more photographs yesterday afternoon [Sunday ] which are attached.
Many thanks for putting up some more photos. They realy are beautiful birds,I saw it today twice once this morning and again at about 3.45.I only managed to see one bird. But well worth a visit to see them. Please park carefully on the road as there is all sorts of farming work going on all around.
Other birds in the general area were 2 Nuthatch,3 Treecreeper,3 GSWoodpecker and loads of finches heading of the castle Carr to roost.Which is where the Northern was heading when last seen.
Thanks for putting the photos on. It was good to see Andy up there this afternoon. Before that we were about to give up on them when one northern form landed in the tree just next to us with a standard europaeus. What fantastic birds to see (especially the caudatus)! Well done to the original finders - thank you. Also 1 Repoll over and a single Goldcrests to add to Andy's list.
The northern long tailed tits are still about. There was one with about 8 LTT's this am near the lower lodge, Luddenden Dean. Met up with Martin from Sheffield. Martin got some decent pictures.
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
