Mixenden Res and Stodfold

I tried the Vis Mig watchpoint this morning but it was impossible in the strong blustery wind so I headed down into the valley where there were lots of birds trying to find shelter and food behind the small trees and in the gullies.

c100 Swallows, mainly young birds
c150 House Martins
c 300 Meadow Pipits
28 alba Wagtails
1 Sand Martin over the reservoir
1 Chiff-chaff with a brief burst of song in the shelter of Mixenden plantation
