This afternoon at the watchpoint
3 Cormorants SW at 15.15 were more or less the only movers other than a few pipits and Swallows. BS on Soil Hill was getting lots of Swallows through but they didn' come my way. I could scope them heading over towards Swales Moor but they were too far away to count for me. BS got a good count though and think he was enjoying some decent weather up there - for a change!
A pair of Sparrowhawks were about and 5 Wheatears but the grounded migrants from last week in Slaughter Gap had moved on and it was very quiet in the gully. I did manage to scope a Fox sunning itself on the hillside towards Illingworth.
In comparison, Nick was finding a few migrants at Roils Head and good to get some Redstarts there.
