Pied-billed Grebe
Hollingworth Lake !!!!! now thats a twitch have to catch ferry
I was passing littleborough this afternoon when I got Dave's grapevine txt so stopped by. The bird was showing really well in a bay at the nature reserve end of the lake. You can see the hill leading to Lighthazxles/whiteholme etc from there, so when the bird moves on, it might definately be worth a walk in that direction. It's probably around a mile, as the grebe flies.....
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
