A Goldcrest was in the garden early this morning in the fir trees - first one I've seen here in over 10 years.
At 08:30 I heard a Grasshopper Warbler at Strait Hey. BL said he'd had one last night about a mile away at Jail Hole so it could possibly be the same bird?

There seems to be a lot of Grasshopper Warblers about this year so I wouldn't bank on it
NCD and I had two up at Flints a few nights back.
I had two goldcrests heard and seen at Saville Park on Wednesday.
Either they were silent or absent all summer up till then.
Perhaps the crests and the groppers arrived together?
