Sparrow hunting
I thought I had a Tree Sparrow at the roadside as I drove through Norland this morning (but couldn't stop). Went back tonight but only found a noisy crowd of House Sparrows. Even so, it's quite a treat to see House Sparrow locally these days!

House Sparrows must like the altitude. Here in Queensbury I can have 50+ on my garden feeders, they breed in the privets, in the ivy and under the guttering. On the down side a Chaffinch or Greenfinch would be a mega garden tick. BS
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
