Possible corn bunting well up the Crimsworth Dean valley. Also, 8 pairs lapwing, 4 pairs curlew, 2 pairs redshank, and one grumpy, paranoid and heavily armed gamekeeper.

Doesn't sound like classic Corn Bunting habitat Matt but then again very few people go up that way, certainly worth checking again. I don't suppose it was singing was it?
It was singing, but it was so windy I only caught a short phrase of it, so I can't be 100% sure. It was coming from a field down by the beck in the valley bottom, but again I didn;t get sight of the bird.
