Waystone Edge and Buckstones Moss

Several red grouse, two ravens, an unseasonal skylark and best bird, a woodcock.  I also flushed a beautiful white mountain hare.  This is the northernmost Pennine one I've even seen, several miles north of the Saddleworth Moor population.

Merry Christmas, Chris

Great finds Chris and excellent news on the Mountain Hare. I took a couple of trips down to the Saddleworth area last year to try spot them, but was unsuccessful.

Brilliant on The Mountain Hare - they seem to be very rare in our area nowadays. I can't remember the last time I saw one locally. Woodcock always nice to find too.
