Fly Flatts

I gave it a try this afternoon thinking the conditions might not be favourable in that strong Easterly. It was unusually calm given the protection of Ovenden Moor and Nab Hill though the surrounding moorland was misty. so not good for 'scanning'
1 Barnacle Goose still there, though it can be elusive hidden away in the juncus an the east side of the res'r
c100 Canada Geese (mainly those with juveniles) - the rest have moved on
c40 Lapwings resting on the shoreline banking
Lots of mipits about
2 Redshank
1+ Common Sandpiper
1 adult Herrring Gull and 6 L B B Gulls >NE towards Thornton Moor Res'r
No Swifts or Hirundines this afternoon
