Ogden

With thanks for the message from Chris K this morning via BS for the Wood Warbler found this morning singing in the plantation. It's only the 3rd record for Calderale this year as far as I know. Still singing ( NK)around 9.0 am and showing well in a stand of Beech. I managed to get up there around 11 am and it was still singing continuously but only fleeting glimpses in the canopy. Also Spotted Flycatcher nearby.
Elsewhere in the plantation a single Tree Pipit was still singing in the NW where I was fortunate enough to have 4 Crossbills overhead and a single Siskin.
1 B h Gull also went over and 1 Kestrel but nothing on the res'r
