Lazy birding.

OK, if you're getting fed up of all those great Waxwings photos here's something different - a really bad one. It was taken from my bedroom window yesterday morning where the local post dawn flock occassionally gathers on Dudwell Lane. It has now increased to at least 180 birds. They commute to various sites around Skircoat Green, particularly along the bottom of the allotments.

I have yet to catch sight of any in our road, Charlie. My bedroom window looks the other way! Had great close views of 2 juv. roe deer at the top of the wood today at dusk.

Clever of you to get the woodpigeon in the foreground.

Hi Steve,

Is that Roe Deer in Bankhouse wood? Surely they don't breed in there as I don't fancy being surprised by one on my night time mothing trips.

Also, when we met the other day and you mentioned a blog, was it published by the Halifax Scientific Society or did I get my wires crossed? If it was do you have a link for it?
