Waxwings at Brookfoot

Located a small flock feeding on the rowan berries alongside Avocet Works. Very poor light and they all took of towards Elland at 0815 and there were 14 in number.

Well done Mike, I had a look at the ski-lake about 08:20, 8 Tufties and 8 Siskin around but didn't see or hear any Waxwings.

Glad you are still out and about, I was getting worried that something had happened to you!

Still out and about Dave,in fact I think you was down at the lake over the weekend. At no time this morning did any of the Waxwings call so it was silent feeding and no calls when they flew off.The last time Waxwings were in Brighouse was 2003 up at Lane Head as far as I know.

I'm always scanning that bit of water hoping for something worth reporting!

Good to see you are back and covering Brookfoot again, Mike. T he Waxwings weren't around this pm but there was a good flock of 25+ Siskins over the canal.
