Ecosia

Sounds good but does anyone know any more about this?

It certainly looks good and authentic. WWF backing ought to make it reliable. I'll try asking whether any of my eco contacts know it. There seem to be a number of such sites. Someone asked me yesterday to use one to support the Next Step Trust.

Cheers Bill, I agree on the face of it it looks good, just wondered if there might be a catch.

I have found two people from the Christian Ecology Link webgroup who use Ecosia.
One said, "I've used it for about a year. It is very encouraging when you are given a figure as to how many acres of Rain forest you have saved. I know this is done via WWF but have no means of knowing if it corresponds to the truth. There are occasions when it does not seem as efficient as Google - but I'm persevering until someone tells me it it is flawed."
The other, "Ecosia is my default search engine and it serves me very well".
