Winter Thrushes

Apparently thousands of thrushes coming in at Spurn this morning heading over high going west. Many of these could end up in our area either overnight or in the next day or so. Redwings have been around in our area for a couple of weeks now in small numbers.

Nick Dawtrey reported c40 Redwings over Roils head this afternoon going west. c30 were around Shroggs Park this morning and others as already reported in Luddenden Dean were feeding on hawthorn berries. Redwings were also heard going over Southowram at 9.30 pm tonight. Plenty Blackbirds and Mistle Thrushes also around but no reports of Fieldfares yet as far as I am aware (?)
