10th October - Middle and top Walshaw res'rs from Wadsworth MoorWe did 10 miles or so from the crags car park and up over Wadsworth Moor to top Walshaw and back via Blake Dean. Birds were thin on the ground with a very strong wind making birding difficult.
28+ Red Grouse
2 Ravens and 1 Common Buzzard over high
c20 Goldcrests in the crags
3 Stonechats at middle Walshaw res'r
7 Meadow Pipits for the day (all keeping out of the wind)
1 Grey Heron
c6 Kestrels and that was about it
