John, from the west corner of Blackstone Edge reservoir there is a straight path - Toad Lane - that goes north over the moor (Byron Edge) to the south corner of Whiteholme reservoir. Getting off the bus at the White House, this path is useful for checking both reservoirs.
Cheers Peter, yes, I know that path now you mention it. It takes quite a bit longer that my route. I normally park near a gate on the other road and walk on a good track NW? To Whitehome. Takes a bit to get there from Bradshaw. Must be a good day out for you. Thanks again... Keep 'em coming. John
There were 10 very flighty birds at the western tip of the res as I set out on a walk a few minutes after 10 o'clock. They flew off west, and no sign when I passed the spot again 3 hours later. Different birds?
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,

Great find Peter.
Were they on the west side (Pennine Way) wall please?
John
Yes, on the west side
Tks Peter.. Not often I'm up there and I normally walk north down the road, so I know , now, to have a butcher's hook on the other wall.
John
