The feeders near the lower lodge were 'buzzing' near dusk. 50+ small birds challenging each other at the feeders including Chaff's, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Blue, Great and Coal Tits, Great-spotted Woodpecker - but no sign of any Brambling !

Hope you was well wrapped up Dave, wheres the feeders ?
Mile and a half past the 'catty' pub stick to the road (narrow and not many parking spots) then pass the Nunnery house. Then 200yds the track to Lowe Farm on the left 20 yds past there just before the cottages Dave. Late afternoon is best as the birds head up towards Castle Carr to roost.
