Cuckoos
2 still calling at jumble hole today
along with:
All the usual species,
a juvenile grey wagtail,
whitethroat,
garden warbler,
blackcaps,
willow warblers,
chiffchaffs,
a kestrel,
tawny owl heard but not seen,
about 5 young robins,
lots of wrens,
4 green woodpeckers,
3 jays.
Matthew - if you ever head up Jumble Hole again, by all means let me know and I'll happily show you around. That goes for anyone by the way. It's a small area and doesn't take long!
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,

A good count there Matthew and a good year for Cuckoos in our area at least.
Yes I've heard that numbers in east anglia have gone down massively this year. Maybe we've stolen some!!
