Just a quick walk around the moors before heading over to Fly Flatts for a look. The weather started OK, if not a little blustery, but by the time I was finished it was raining.

that's a Snipe, I photographed a nest with eggs and then the hatched chicks at Fly Flatts in the early eighties
Well done for getting a Snipe 'chick' on camera - never seen one very well before other than brief glimpse and then lost in the vegetation. Brill.
This one was sat right next to the path and calling constantly, even when I was close to it
was surprised to see a walshaw land rover seemingly doing some work at fly flatts a couple of days ago.

Must be something to do with shutting the access off Muxy. What a surprise the estates are involved so soon after the public access was closed from the top gat!
