Wow that's a great record Bruce, sounds like a family group! Great stuff.
I have Chris to thank. We had been watching 6 high gulls (LBB). I had gone inside, Chris alerted me to another bird much lower - not a gull. I shot outside when she said there are two now. Having both watched them a while she called me out again "there are 4 now!" No sorry 5! It made our day, so I went for some wine...
As you say probably a family party.
Imagine seeing something like that in Calderdale say 20 years ago, not everything is going wrong in the bird world thankfully.
