Ogden
Thanks to NK for finding a Pink-footed Goose at Ogden today at least till early afternoon - this is a very late bird. We had 2 in 2009 that were in the Cold Edge area with Canada's from 7th March until 11th May.
We used to get odd birds like this cropping up in Cheshire from time to time (and possibly Manchester). We suspected feral birds from wildfowl collections as they appeared to be too tame to be of truly wild origin. If they are approachable, mix easily with Canadas, or come to bread then suspect feral, but this is not necessarily abject proof of captive origin. Discuss....
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,
