Quail.
Report from Rob Henry & Roger Ranson, NT Marsden Moor Estate, of singing male Quail on Buckstones Moss, part of which is in our recording area (SE 003 136 approx, 1535 ft). Been there for over a week.
I'd 2 groups of 6 & 8 Twite up there on Saturday, I guess feeding on the wavy Hair Grass? By the way, as Roger has rebuked me for today, I should have said Quail calling!
Copies are available at £6.00 each from the GO local store at Woodlesford, Pellon price . Hopefully they will also be available at the Fox and Goose Hebden Bridge ,

I went up yesterday evening for a look. All was quiet, though it was rather windy.
