High Royd
Does anyone have any info on the water levels at High Royd? Following on from a post some time ago by Matt expressing his concern over the apparent drying out of the settling beds I have made several attempts to find out what is happening from Yorkshire Water. Despite being promised a reply I have not received any useful info. I am considering making further attempts to contact them but before doing so thought I'd better check out the latest situation.

Sue and I cycle past regularly and two weeks ago it was still dry as dust with Willowherb and Balsam growing out of it.
Thanks for the info Paul, having had no success with a reply from the suggested contact at YW I have now written to their environment team expressing our concern.
Thanks also to Dave Sutcliffe for a thorough review of the site received by E mail tonight. I have suggested to YW that we (CBCG)might be prepared to consider a lease agreement for the site along the lines of that at Ringstone, this is too valuable a habitat to let go.
