Unconfirmed Firecrest

A none birder has reported what he believes to be a Firecrest in a privet hedge at Portsmouth - Cornholme on the Burnley Road opposite the Glen View Pub. After talking to him for some 15 minutes I came to the conclusion it was probably a Goldcrest, although he said he had looked on the internet and still thought it may have been a Firecrest. He is going back to check it out tomorrow with his camera.His description gave no mention of a black eyestripe or strong WHITE SUPERCILLIUM and therefore I did not send out any text messages.If anybody is in that area it may be worth a check ????.
