Buzzard over Slack Top (Widdop Road) reported from very reliable source. Also short eared owl injured by hay making machine and taken into care at same site.
Additionally, juv. cormorant on the canal at Mytholmroyd, and flew up towards Hebden Bridge.

Judging by description the Cormorant was seen later on by the bridge just before Stubbing Warf pub. Report only given to me late last night by sister-in-law.
Matt reports of buzzards in and around this area are becoming more and more common; or so it seems.
Would be interesting to see if this trend continues and maybe we should pay a bit more attention to the area.

The Juv. cormorant was on the Wharf by the canal boat in the centre of Hebden all yesterday too! And the buzzard was seen very close to the one you had a few weeks ago.
That will please the fishermen around here. Must nip up on Wednesday for a look see if I can't get lucky with the buzzard again.
