On TV t'other nite Bri, it showed that Red Grouse is so depleted this year that shoots have had to be cancelled on a scale unknown before. Parasites are to blame, it went on to say.
Makes a change from blaming Hen Harriers!!
Maybe Nick but do you think that will stop the game keepers, i saw the same report Nigel and thought bloody hell open season on the birds of prey and anything else that happens to live up on the moors.
It's difficult to accept that anything will stop the keepers to be honest! However attempts are being made, have a look at www.savethehenharrier.com a project set up and run with the major input of one of our local birders (Steve Downing, former Police Wildlife Laison Officer).
