Coach Road, Brighouse

These were the best I could get with the digiscope of the 'lesser pecker'

Single male Lesser-spotted Woodpecker at the site this afternoon. It appeared around 2.45 pm when it was heard drumming and was tricky to pick up in the top branches but stayed around for around 15 to 20 mins. Thanks to John M for the help in tracking it around. Bad luck to Andy K who had to get back to work before it showed!!
Also
1 Goldcrest
1 Nuthatch
1 Great-spotted Woodpecker
1 Sparrowhawk

Well done in tracking down the lesser pecker, Dave - not easy at the best of times !
No sign of any after 4.00 today, but there is a lot of woodland for them to go at.....
