Success???????

3 Buzzards seen soaring together today at 15:40 at undisclosed site, the birds were within half a mile of a suspected breeding site, only our 2nd in Calderdale. Hopefully this is a sign of successful breeding at the site, although the birds were only seen through bins and viewed from a hillside opposite. None of the birds appeared to be in moult so it was impossible to age any of them.

Nice one Andy, not sure what has happened at our other site, last time I heard the omens were good. Had an hour in the Luddenden Valley this afternoon, male Redstart still hanging around Spa Wood.

Nice one with the Redstart Nick - I thought it was long gone - wonder if it has bred as there must be a female about for it still to be around, unless it's a returning non breeder?
1 Buzzard seen this week on 2 occasions again appears fully winged. Great to get 3 together Andy

Spent quite some time looking for a female or better still freshly fledged young but sadly no joy.
