Ploughcroft

We had an hour along Hag Lane at the back of Ploughcroft this afternoon - and the sun was still shining.!
1 Kestrel
1 Green Woodpecker
2 Stock Doves
1 Tawny Owl singing
One or two Chaff's and Goldfinch and a good number of the usual corvids.
Starlings doing imitation Curlew calls was a bit misleading as we looked to the sky but no Curlew flying over (though they won't be long now).

 Distant Green Woodpecker
Chaffinch (male)

Chaffinch is in good breeding colours, thought it was a Brambling at first glance.

I don't know what anyone else thinks but Green Peckers seem to be doing well. Very quiet at Tabor at the moment but we did get some more Pink Feet over in the dark at 7pm this evening.

My first GWP this year Muxy though they seem to do reasonably well in Calderdale. Nice to get more pinkies over even in the dark.

Sentry Edge, Top Castle Carr and N edge of Ogden have all had Green WP for me in 2016. Pinkies and Peckers are all I'm seeing!
