Never seen one in a bush before! Eating berries? Nice one.
A lot from Oxenhope have been dispersed due to the shooters. At least it will be safe in your garden.
The bush looks like Berberis thumbergii so there will probably be some berries - and some sharp spines to cope with!
The bush was certainly a berberis which is extremely prickly.We think it may be a thumbergii.We were surprised it perched for so long.
