There has been a great deal of effort gone into this issue from some of the CBCG members so credit to them for highlighting this issue at the outset.

Hear hear Nick. It's good that the RSPB has picked up the issue after the prosecution was dropped by NE.

I have occasionally been critical of RSPB usually over relatively trivial matters but it is great to see them standing by their remit when it comes to the big stuff. I doubt many NE employees would have favoured it being "dropped" I reckon that decision may have come from higher so even better that RSPB are prepared to stand up and be counted.

Well done to all involved.

NE's decision smacked of government interference.
