Shibden Valley and Mixenden

Late morning still at least 2 House Martins feeding in the shelter between Shibden Mill Inn and back of the ski slope along Hag Lane.
Birds moving along the hillside SW included 1 Crossbill, 55 Meadow Pipits and 15 Chaffinch. Also at 12.15 a single Pink-footed Goose headed up the valley struggling in the blustery wind. Surprisingly a single Pinkie flew NW at 12.45 over Mixenden Reservoir! Also at Mixenden a juv Great-crested Grebe and 2 Goosander

Good move sticking to the lowlands today Dave, you,d have needed lead boots on watching from Hunter Hill or Ringby.
