Widdop and Walshaw Dean Moors

A walk from The Ridge, up Walshaw Dean to Alcomden Stones and back, yielded plenty of curlews, lapwings, a couple of snipe, three oystercatchers, several calling golden plovers, a linnet, a reed bunting and a tufted duck on the Middle res'. There were also at least one (though probably two) pairs ring ouzels in another part of calderdale.

Regards, Chris
