Withens Head

Black Redstart still there today but at Slade - the property further on from Withens Head Farm - on the big pile of stones down the private track, and it's scope job at this spot. I think it must to and fro between the farms. I don't think there are 2 birds!
1 Wheatear
1 Little Owl
c60 Starlings
c50 Meadow Pipits
c20 Goldfinch
2 Kestrels

I think all the Wheatears have gone from round here Dave as I haven't seen one for over a week, but my latest record from last year was one on 20 September by Stoodley Pike so I haven't given up hope yet.

Don't give up hope yet Jeff - there are usually one or two hangers on into October and one was at Soil Hill from 7th to 9th November last year!
By the way well done with the Greenshank and Barnacle Geese photos
