Swifts and Twite

Spent dinner time watching c.50 swift feeding above hay meadows near Warley as the grass was being cut. Had a short walk after work and found a couple of family groups of twite below Green Withens, 8 took off and (I think) a couple more were left behind.

On another note, are there any plans to put up more nextboxes before next year?

The general feeling is that we have a reasonable number and spread of boxes in the area, but what did you have in mind? If there is a species / location / reason you have in mind, we wouldn't rule it out!

No particular reason, I'm making some for a new patch and thought I'd make a few more if there was another load going up.

Any 'spares' you've got Jim would always be welcome. I'm sure we'd find somewhere to put them. One thing we always seem to lack is volunteers to put them up, clean them out and survey them.
