Whooper swans (?!)

Yesterday (21st) my son saw 24 whooper swans flying above Halifax Road in Todmorden, low enough to be counted accurately. I wouldn't have reported this if anyone else had told me but he is very reliable at identification. (He phoned me up on the Isle of Mull to tell me).
