NEW Location

Well actually it's not that new because it's only a couple of fields down from Matt Bells house, however during this festive season I have relocated to the Jumble hole area whilst we house sit for the father in law. So up went the feeders and a garden list begins already we have:-

Goldcrest
Longtailed Tit
Great tit
Blue tit
Robin
Chaffinch
Dunnock
Jackdaw

now I've just got to make sure the resident cat behaves it's self.

Short of adding more bells to it's collar or shooting it anybody got any ideas to ensure the only bird it has this xmas is turkey?

If the cat kills a Grey Squirrel or a rat you can see that as credit - it has saved nesting birds. We have to have cats as we have a rat problem and a Grey Squirrel problem (and a rabbit problem, serious rabbit problem). Grey Squirrel eats eggs and nestlings - one of our previous cats specialised in destroying (and eating all) of these introduced pests, put him in credit as far as we were concerned he always seemed to return prey to the house and very rarely took birds. They're not ll like this but there's lots more fresh meat on a squirrel than on a feathery bird once they get the taste for GSs (and rats).
