Recent images from Cromwell Bottom

All from JM
 Redwing
Kingfisher (and below looks to be disgourging a pellet)

And some more from John M at Ogden and Coach Road, Hove Edge
Lesser Redpoll - Ogden - error on my part (thanks John) Siskin

 Greenfinch- Coach Road

 Nuthatch - Coach Road

Lesser Redpoll - Ogden. After another careful look this time it's interesting that this photo shows the dark centre of the undertail coverts - often difficult to see. This is one of the features of  the Lesser Redpoll ie Carduelis cabaret (west and central Europe) compared with the C flammea (Scandinavia) (can be tricky ) ??

Thanks John and for the info on the Kingfisher. It reappeared as I was walking back to the car. Calling very loudly. Could even hear it from the car park!

Thanks David for the information on Carduelis Cabaret. I'd not noticed that. Worth investigating the flock with more photos.
