Dead Buzzard

Found the remains of a Common Buzzard at Crimsworth Dean today, Tim came and collected it for examination. Lets hope its death was due to natural causes and nothing more sinister.

WARNING! DO NOT HANDLE SUCH CARCASSES WITH BARE HANDS.
If poisoning is suspected, the carcass should only be handled with disposable latex gloves and double bagged (along with the gloves). The toxins often used in cases of wildlife poisoning can be fatal to humans and some have the ability to be absorbed through the skin. Poisoned pigeons and poultry are sometimes used (illegally) to target raptors and foxes.
